Good small enclosure. Gets the job done. However, I would have liked if they included a small bit of cushioning on the inside top cover just so the board and drive can't move around sat all.

I can tell that it works fine attleast with:
WD Blue 250 Gt M.2 SSD
Fits inside the case well and i didnt find any other problems with this product. They even give you a small screwdriver and a few extra screws aswell.

.....I'd searched the internet looking for an adapter to connect an m.2 card to USB 3.0 so I could clone my hard drive. This worked a treat and would recommend to anyone. The tiny screw driver that came with the unit was a joke (literally looked like it was out of a Christmas cracker). You will need a watchmakers size screwdriver to be able to open the unit.

I needed a cable or enclosure with cable to swap out the 128gb M.2 2280 SSD that came with my laptop for a larger Samsung 850 EVO 2tb SSD. This little enclosure was just right. Slid the new SSD in, closed it up, connected it to USB 3.0, and ran the Samsung software. Came back later to see the cloning was done, and did a swap of the new for the old, and stated up my laptop with the new larger freshly cloned SSD and it ran perfect.
I then put my old smaller SSD in the enclosure for safe keeping. Will keep it that way until my laptop warranty is up, and the. I can use this SSD enclosure as a fast external drive. Cool.
This is better than just a temporary cable. It is just a little tricky pushing the SSD into the carrier and sliding it into the enclosure. But nothing impossible. Slide it in from the end opposite the logo light.
I always have a fan gently blowing on my laptop to run AutoCAD and Revit. Checked the temp of the laptop and the SSD enclosure with my hand and it didn't even feel warm, let alone hot.
Very pleased with this ZTC Thunder Enclosure for SSD M.2 drives.

Don't buy this product for 4 reasons:
1. Although of a standard size mentioned in the specs, my M.2 module doesn't fit inside the cage (the cage’s height is too low).
2. The way to mount the M.2 inside the cage is ridiculous.
3. The specs don't mention what is the bus protocol used (SATA or PCIe?).
4. Access to inside is screw-based.
