64GB DDR3 memory upgrade from OWC, this 64GB kit is made up of 8 matched 8GB modules. DDR3 1333MHz speed (PC3-10600 memory standard) and timings of CL9 (9-9-9-24), voltage 1.5V.
Features ECC Error Correction to ensure fewer errors while in use - in fact, the ECC features corrects any errors that may bring other systems to a halt. 240-pin DDR3 memory modules.
Compatible with the following systems:
- Mac Pro 12-Core (Mid 2010 to 2012)
- Mac Pro 8-Core (Mid 2010)
- Mac Pro (Early 2009 8-Core)
To utilize over 32GB of memory in your Mac Pro using 10.6.x or greater, you must boot into 64 bit mode. In 32 bit mode, all installed memory will show in system profiler but only up to 32GB will be actively used by the computer.
