32GB Patriot Tab USB3.0 Micro-size USB Flash Drive by Patriot

I bought this because of its large capacity, apparent ruggedness and the fact it fits on a keyring, but within two days of using it, it was dead. I returned it and received a replacement (same brand and model) and that, too, died after a couple of days. I have four other USB drives, one ten years old, and none of them have ever given me any trouble. So I'm now in the process of ordering a different brand from MemoryC.

Useful amount of memory - very tidy size - and when it is on your key-ring you really can't go away and forget it!

I simultaneously purchased from Memory C a 64 GB SanDisk micro SD and this 64GB Patriot Tab USB3.0 Micro-size USB Flash Drive. The latter has some 3 - 4 GB smaller capacity (depending on the file system). I have tried formatting it with Windows; Mac OS and Linux - no luck. Originally appeared to have a hidden partition, but even after Linux formatting and creating just one partition I am unable to get it any close to the SanDisk size. The flash drive is either of a smaller capacity or contains a very hidden partition (spyware?). This is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. While many of us are used to the fact that when buying a 64 GB memory we never get the true 64 GB memory, in comparison this one is some 5% smaller than the trusty SanDisk. Well, how would you react if you will get 5% less pay this month without explanation? Also, it is slow (slower than my other USB3 memory) and got scratched after just a couple of uses. Another inferior product - go SanDisk or something similar instead!

I've got one of those on my keyring for a long time now, and its taken all the abuse. I agree with other reviewers on the write speed not being quite up to USB 3.0 standards, but i my use case I hardly ever transfer many GB in one go. I love it for the size and the robustness.

Great little key. Small and fast. In the past, small drives like this have tended to heat up, but it doesn't seem to be the case with this one. Great product.

The only (small) negative I have is that the ring at the end is a little too small to move freely on a normal sized keyring (where I keep is). But as I said this is only a minor negative.

CONS:
The write speed on this drive is VERY poor. It only reads at 9MB/s.
This is ok if only backing up small files maybe for collage but takes ages to transfer a 1080p vid you've taken.
PRO'S:
Very small, fits on keyring. On USB 3 read speed is VERY good, about 140MB/s.

Personally next time I'd get the ADATA instead due to the increased write speed on their drives as I transfer videos a lot.
But I did expect more from this drive especially as it's a USB 3.0 drive.

Great product, I buy all my memory from Memory C because it`s never failed. Great price and super fast postage.

very small with hugh capacity - perfect for what i wanted to use it for.
