I upgraded to RED years ago, when my "cheap" drives kept failing one by one just after the warranty ended... Normal drives are not build to last anymore...
The extra quality of RED disc combined with the extra warranty direct from WD makes RED disk a better buy than "normal" drives... if you need drives that can run 24/7 for years...

I bought these to upgrade a WD World Book Network drive. They went into the box one at a time and the drive basically upgraded itself. If you gave an old WD 'Book' product these are a pretty good upgrade path.
