First off, my use case is backing up my HDD daily. On a desk, so I don't care about the fact that it can be submerged in water.
I wanted something that wasn't bulky, expensive, or powered externally, and this drive ticks those boxes.
This is a great drive. The USB3.0 cable with which it is bundled works well. I use a MacBook Pro with USB 2.0, and it's just as good as any other backup solution that I have used.
The ADATA backup software is available via a download if needed, meaning you get the full disk space without having to do anything weird. I was easily able to partition it with MBR and an ExFAT partition for use with Windows PCs, as well as two Mac-formatted partitions for CCC backups and storage.
It's only been a few weeks, but there have been no reliability issues or anything. From what I can see, this is a good, stable external USB drive solution. If anything does go wrong, I'll update this review.
Oh, and on top of everything else, the rubber case feels nice to the touch, in my opinion.
