The soldering quality on ATA cable contact was poor. Some soldering points were contaminated or not cleaned, some looked like - and possibly were partially cold. After thorough brushing, cleaning and inspecting i installed it and fired up. Working OK. When connecting and disconnecting ATA cable with adapter installed on 2,5" disk one has to be careful not to break the SATA socket. Probably works better with 3,5" disks - the connector have more support from disk´s body. All in all OK, if You handle it carefully.

There were no issues in connecting this. Just push it on the SATA drive connectors, plug in the IDE connector and the power plug and that's it. It just works.

The NEON SATA to PATA/IDE Hard Drive Interface module I bought from MemoryC.com works well with a SATA HDD on my old IDE-bus desktop computer. But when I used it in an attempt to convert a SATA DVD drive into a PATA/IDE one, it worked erroneously: for example, it could read an audio file but could not read a video one. This is all right, since the manufacturer of the module recommends it for HDDs only.
