Not as good as I was expecting

I got two of these to make up 8gb in my Dell XPS 710 H2C, I had 4gb already installed and was expecting the machine to be able to handle a little more with the 8gb. I am a little disappointed with the overall performance since upgrading. I use Photoshop and some other memory intensive packages and the 4gb I had seemed to cope as well as these do. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think these sticks are up to it, I'd check out a better brand next time.
