Not fast at all! No where near the quoted speed

I spent extra and went for the 2000MB/s read, 2000MB/s write model for use with my MacBook Pro M4. After testing I'm not getting anywhere near the advertised speed, barely getting 900MB/s read and write. At first I thought it was the supplied USB-C cable, so I purchased a separate Thunderbolt 4 80Gbps USB4 cable and still barely getting 900MB/s read and write - very disappointed.
